How to have Healthy, Soft Feet — Give Yourself Permission to Pamper Your  Feet

There are many reasons to take care of and pamper your feet — the main one being that they work very, very hard each and every day. Just as importantly is the fact that your feet can be impacted from various illnesses  (you can find information in books, on the internet, and from your healthcare provider that give details and facts for you to be aware of).

It’s summertime. It’s time for bare feet and sandals. And let’s hope your feet don’t look like this.

Hi, I am HOLLI from the Woman’s Inner Circle and Edorai.com. Today I’m going to talk to you about your feet and what you can do to make them healthier and feel softer. And why am I talking about feet? Well, feet are the foundation of our bodies, and they really assist us in some of the most basic foundations of living. And did you know that we have 26 bones, 133 joints, 107 ligaments and 19 muscles in our feet, and that the average wear and tear on a foot is equivalent to the distance a person covers in a lifetime, which is about 100,000 miles?

When you hear those stats, it makes you realize really how important it is to keep them healthy for many, many reasons. And obviously you want them to function, but you also want them to be comfortable. But what about also wanting them to be soft and caressable? And this is the empowering part. Because having soft, caressable feet will really make you feel better about yourself and will give you a psychological advantage.

Now feet can really be very sexy, but that is not the topic of this video. So, to continue. Some of you may not know this, but my background is in nutrition and dietetics. I’m actually trained as a dietitian, so it’s been very interesting to me that our society has become more and more concerned and actually consumed with the ingredients that we put into our bodies.

Why aren’t we focusing on this as well?

But one of the things that we neglect to do is we don’t focus on the things we put on our skin, and we do absorb whatever you’re putting on your skin. Those ingredients are absorbed into your body. This year, I’ve actually taken on as my personal challenge to change over all my makeup and all my facial creams and body creams to become as natural as possible. And one of the best ways I found to keep my feet really just as soft and comfortable as possible is to use a luxurious foot cream.
